I sat in the classroom my first day of being a teacher’s assistant and observed the professors. He introduced me and then I just sat down and watched his technique. He was boring now wonder he needed me to come up with term paper ideas. He looked to not have a creative bone in his body. I watched him with very little interest and glanced around the class room occasionally. Everyone looked the same way I felt. This class was going to be a challenge.

First on the lesson plan was term papers. I cold see that the class was full of freshman and I was pretty sure none of them had written research paper before. I started by going over the basic five paragraph term paper format.

Make sure you have a thesis this should be present in the introduction, first paragraph, and derivatives of this should be found in proceeding paragraphs. Only allow one topic per body paragraph and make sure you have a very strong conclusion. Additionally always edit your papers twice. Once in the morning and once at night.

I was really having a hard time engaging the students and coming up with term paper ideas. I began doing some critical analysis research on what topics students of this age range would be interested in. There wasn’t very much to choose from ad far as education goes. Aside from the television shows I had never heard of, bands I didn’t understand websites that seemed ridiculous I was really grasping at straws. Then I had an idea.

I walked into my classroom the next morning and told the students they they would have to write a term paper. But the most interesting and fun thing about it was they could write about anything they wanted but were still having a hard time coming up with ideas

A week later I had twenty-five papers in front of me to grade. They ranged from sports, to music, to stamp They were all very good considering it was probably the first paper any of them had written. I laughed and wondered what the professor would think of their term paper ideas.

The Structure

The structure of a five paragraph essay is uniquely compact due its form. In five compact paragraphs the thesis argument is developed and stated in a well-organized style. Like the name suggests the essay is composed of five paragraphs which are one Introduction paragraph, Three Body paragraphs and the Conclusion paragraph respectively.

Introduction: This paragraph introduces the research topic where the thesis statement is made. The thesis statement should be well-presented so as to impress the reader’s attention for pursuing it to the next body paragraphs. Due to this linking role of Introduction, the paragraph is generally considered to be the narrative hook.

Body: The thesis is getting shape in the body which comprises three consecutive paragraphs, each explaining the thesis argument with supportive data and analytical record. These three paragraphs deal the topic’s detailed critical research analysis with stating the fore and mentioning the opposed views. The task is a bit challenging as the topic study and analysis has to be completed within the three paragraphs.

Paragraph I: Here the writer has to draw his/her main argument regarding the topic. As a carry-over from Introduction, one should ensure that the first or second paragraphs clearly comprehend the subject of the paragraph, quickly graspable to the readers. Also the final portion of the paragraph should include the transitional hook to the second paragraph.

Paragraph II: In connection to the previously stated views in first paragraph, this paragraph carry out the thesis statement with further supporting arguments. The paragraph sketches out the middle portion of the thesis and fully focuses upon the topic analysis.

Paragraph III: Next to the second paragraph here, the topic is illustrated with other related, sometimes weaker arguments compared to the first and second paragraph. The topic’s supporting arguments are more or less winded up in this paragraph.

Conclusion: The last and fifth paragraph draws up the conclusion of the thesis and sums up the arguments stated earlier. With impressive final statements the writer can make the Five Paragraph Essay remarkable of worthy research and analysis. Outlining the main points and the thesis statement once more, this paragraph can be concluded with a persuasive final statement.

I didn’t grow up with a lot. My parents were both working class people and with six kids in my family there wasn’t a lot of money for anything extra. As I grew up I learned to save my money. I looked for sales and rarely bought anything at full price. I really knew the value of work since I had a job since I was sixteen. My friend Erica is the complete opposite. She grew up very, very privileged. Her parents had tons of money. Her mom was a doctor and her dad was a professor at the state university. As a result she didn’t have any student loans. When her dad got tired of his luxury car he passed it over to Erica. Since her parents babied her she didn’t have much drive or ambition since she always knew she could fall back on them. She also could never keep a job longer than a month. Erica always found some excuse why the job didn’t work for her. After the fifth job she decided she wanted to go to graduate school. Shortly after her first week began her parents informed her that they were stretched too thin and would be filing for bankruptcy. They would not be able to help Erica financially any longer. Eric quickly began postings ads that stated she had research papers for sale.

Erica was always a really good writer honestly it was about the only thing she didn’t rely on her parents to do. But now she felt her only solution was to post ads on the internet, signs on the college boards and just generally pass on pamphlets that said “research papers for sale.” It was a real difficult transition for Erica.

On afternoon we were driving around in her car. She hadn’t come to the point of selling it yet. We pulled over at the station when her gas light beeped. I was driving and she was sitting in the passenger seat with her lap top going over her some basic tips on term papers:

1.Create an outline that includes the basic five paragraph term paper : introduction, three main paragraphs for the body and conclusion.

2.State the thesis statement in the first and last paragraphs And have derivatives of that statement in each body paragraph.

3.Edit once walk away and edit again. She research papers for sale business would not thrive if she ever had spelling or grammar errors.

I popped the gas tank and waited for Erica to get out. She continued to work on her lap top. She was now trying to create a more eye catching research papers for sale sign. I continued to wait and she looked up and asked where “the gas man was.” I looked at her laughed and said it was self serve. She turned red closed her lap top and got out of the car. She fumbled with the gas hose. I looked at curiously. Erica had never pumped a tank of gas in her life. I quickly jumped out of the car before spilled gas everywhere.

Not only did Erica’s research papers for sale sign teach her how to be pump gas but it also showed her how to be more independent. Erica was getting very frustrated. She felt like she couldn’t do anything on her own. Not only did she now use the internet to post info on her research papers for sale but Erica was also able to find a great part time job and this time she kept it.
